I'm from cattle country in southern Alberta. Until I went to Britain at age 20 in 1962, I didn't even know that people actually ate sheep: I'd never heard of such a thing. We knew that sheep were useful because they made wool, but that was it. Since then, I've tried eating sheep, but have never been able to understand why anyone would actually enjoy the experience.
