Having used Windows XP Professional for two years now as an original installation, I have found, like all MS versions of Windows, liable to the odd crash. It can handle a great deal of multi-tasking, but if there were a better system I would certainly use it. Fortunately, I bought a system with a massive memory and storage capacity since MS doesn't seem to care how much space it uses up. Sometimes I hanker for the good old days when everything depended on DOS: C:\ I still use it sometimes to shift and rename files. At least, you can see what's going on under the hood, so to speak.
