There has been a recent observation on this forum about a typo error in which the text "he and Captain John" should have been "she and Captain John" as the pronoun reference is to Susan. Forget exactly where that discussion took place.
When I typed in these books, it made me look very closely at what I was entering, and thus I discovered several errors. For the first few books I typed in, I kept a log of the errors, but after a while, I ceased that record keeping. But here is the log for the first one I typed in for Swallows and Amazons.
This actually is a part of a letter I sent to Godine Publishers about their printing of this book, but the apparently took no interest in this collection of errors. So I never bothered them with such reports on the next books I typed in and subsequently found more errors.
It seems to me that at some time, several years ago, when I had just finished typing in this project, I submitted this listing of errors to the forum, so it is with apologies that I admit that this is a repeat. I felt prompted to include this since there was that recent conversation about a "he" or "she" spelling error.
In the notes below, the material framed with the square brackets is text taken from the book. The page numbers of course are meaningful only to this edition, as other editions may have those numbers slightly different.

Each of these errors have been found in the book:
"Swallows and Amazons"
by Arthur Ransome
published by David R. Godine, Publisher
Eighth printing 1997
The fixes were verified by looking up the similar
passage in a 1953 edition of the same book as published
by the Jonathan Cape Publishers. Making these
suggested changes will make the Godine version more
closely resemble the Cape version. Most of the errors
seem to be simple typo type errors, with most being
errors involving punctuation, especially quote marks.
In the items below, each begins with an error number.
The "SA" merely means: "Swallows and Amazons".
1 SA p51 last line 3rd para missing " after [even about
the harbour.]
2 SA p62 last line first para, missing " before [Not
till I was...]
3 SA p74 first line 4th para, comma should be period,
in [said Roger, He...]
4 SA p77 mid page missing close quote in [What is there
in that? said Roger.]
5 SA p91 6th para from bottom, missing period at end of
sentence ["Keep a look-out for rocks under water,
Roger," said the mate] The next line right below that
one has an extra period right in the sentence that
should not be there. [... yard by yard nearer. to
the islet.]
6 SA p105 4th para from bottom. [This is our camp?] I
question the usage of a QUESTION MARK here, as the
statement is a affirmation of a claim, not a question
regarding that claim.
7 SA p108 end of 4th para, missing closing quote [...
boat before that."]
8 SA p111 end of 7th para, missing closing quote [if we
want to."]
9 SA p118 in 5th para, missing period at end of [it and
sailed away]
10 SA p120 just below midpage, perhaps the period
within the quote should be a question mark [hadn't we
better have dinner before all the lemonade is gone.]
Seems to be in the form of a question.
11 SA p123 4th line from bottom, missing closing QUOTE
[your stumps, Peggy"]
12 SA p143 mid page, missing closing quote [two lasses
of her own."]
13 SA p159 2nd para, ends with single quote, should be
double quote ["That's the proper thing to say.']
14 SA p170 3rd para, [The other were flashing...]
should be [The others were...] The verb indicates the
subject should be plural.
15 SA p171 4th line from bottom. ["Who is Captain
Flint," she asked.] That comma should have been a
question mark.
16 SA p190 7th para from top, starts with single quote,
should be double quote. ['I don't think they will,"]
17 SA p192 In 3rd para, the first word "to" should be
"do" [It would never to to get the natives...] should
be: [It would never do to get...]
18 SA p198 first line, missing period should be after
"natives" in: [houses of the natives Astern of them,]
19 SA p201 5 para from bottom, missing period [and the
boy obediently gave it]
20 SA P211 3rd line from bottom, past perfect tense of
verb "to begin" is supposed to be "had begun", not "had
began".
21 SA p228 second line, blank in wrong place [woket he
sleep...] should be [woke the sleep...]
22 SA p228, fifth line,"that" should be "the", changing
[bottom of that boat.] to [bottom of the boat.]
23 SA p235, second line, bad spelling of "people" [sort
of peole we have...]
24 SA p241 6th line from botton, [Friendly though there
were] should be [Friendly though they were] change
"THERE" to "THEY".
25 SA p248 5th line from botton, "Or course, real ones"
should be "Of course, real ones." change the "r" to
"f".
26 SA p250 10 line from top, [Amazons will be there
to-morrow] should be [Amazons will be here to-morrow]
change "there" to "here".
27 SA P254 5th line, single quote is used; should be a
double quote [Susan. 'I don't suppose] should be
[Susan. "I don't suppose]
28 SA p255 5th line from bottom, no period at end of
sentence. [the telescope," said the able-seaman]
29 SA P263 3rd line from top, [Or course they were]
should be [Of course they were] change "Or" to "Of"
30 SA p265 5th line ends in period, should be comma.

31 SA P285 center page, [I know what is is] should be
[I know what it is] change the first "is" to "it".
32 SA p286 lines 3 and 15, where 3 spells it
"sunhelmet" and line 15 spells it "sun helmet". The
Johathan Cape edition has both places as 2 words.

should be comma [Peggy said. "I say, Uncle Jim."]
should be [Peggy said, "I say, Uncle Jim."]
34 SA p316 7th line from top, quote ends with single,
should be double quote. ["Was it you who said you
wanted a grey one?']
35 SA p317 4th line below the "*", comma should be
period to end sentence. [...Susan and Peggy, took
charge of that.]
36 SA p330 11th line from top, ending period missing
[came in and closed the flaps of the door]
38 SA p339 last line, [clean away... Well." she said,
"it's a good] That PERIOD after "Well" should have been
a COMMA.
