It is interesting how different versions have different typos. I remember (I can't verify because all my books are in boxes in storage while we have painters and plasterers (and other renovation delights)in our own little Beckfoot) that my Puffin version of SA (about 1970 imprint) misspelled "kettle" so that someone (I think Susan or Titty) was dealing with a "jettle". I remember looking a decade or so ago in the Red Fox version and either it had or it hadn't been fixed (I remember noting something, but what it was, I can't recall).
