Everybody may know this, but apparently there is a memorial stone to a "Mrs Stainthorpe, nee Georgina Rawdon-Smith 1914-1967" on the top of the moors in Glaisdale, North Yorkshire, with the insctiption "She loved these moors". I have not yet read Pauline Marshall's book, but could it be that the (or an) original "Nancy", emigrated to AR's home county and died in the same year as he did?
