So pack a small pack with a waterproof and layers to put on as the tops can be a lot colder than the valleys. You don't need heavy duty hiking/climbing boots but good serviceable boots/shoes with a good non-slip tread will make it easier. There are streams and boggy bits so be warned of wet feet.
