Ed:

I have been reading SA aloud to Charlotte for 3 months now - about 2 pages a night in bed. It is entirely different English to read aloud than it is to read at 700 words per minute. One also spots lots of mistakes, small ones and most I think are proof readers.

Somehow I do not think that AR had the idea that a team of international sleuths with more time and money and brains and the internet to compare notes would take every blessed thing apart. I mean in AutoCAD I can compare the angles on his SW drawing down to minutes of a degree.

Imagine if he were still alive and we did this.

Think of the mind on Harry Potters creator to invent and rememeber all that trivia. Or Tolkien.

I found out that Thorstein of the Mere is on the web as a pdf file. It is about 160 A4 pages. And AR wrote the intro for this book. I forget to book mark the site, so if anyone wants a copy let me know and I will forward same.

I have started to read Beowolf. Tolkien certainly got a few ideas from that source.

John
