In my case the driving time is 6 hours 22 minutes to North Pole, New York, which is only a litle way north of me.

Getting back to skating, of course the time and distance of the trek also depends on the size of the lake and how accurate the maps are.

However, at a guess based on my gut feel of a seven mile length for The Lake, Dixon's to the Pole would be about five miles as the sledge is blown.
