Please excuse me for getting back to this subject, but I have been curious about a paragraph in the later part of Winter Holiday. It is about how a man built a small wooden house with a large glass window at the end of the Lake - which later is called the North Pole. This paragraph is rather peculiar in its sudden appearance, told completely from a different viewpoint from the story of children's exploration, and its stillness.

I wonder if anyone else has been also impressed with this passage?

Sayoko
