The discussion started by Andy B is interesting and intellectual, but as far as I am concerned is not really related to what is going on in GB now. My posting below about meeting a gang at night was meant to be serious. For me, 'polite kid' = kid who isn't going to kick your ****ing head in because he's bored. The Swallows etc were on another planet. Would that I could be on that planet, but alas . . . .
