Certainly the GA doesn't seem as evil as some of the Wodehousean aunts. (Of course, she wouldn't have approved of Bertie Wooster, either)

There's also a lovely bit in SW where the children are having tea with the missionaries, and acting completely native and well-behaved. In fact, they're so well-behaved that Roger can't stand it and has to go on deck.
