I think on the whole that 30 mph is slow. I used to reckon to leave Lowestoft - 120 miles from London and a good hour further than Ipswich - at 7 am for morning meetings at 10 30 in Whitehall in Central London, and this left plenty of time for London rush hour traffic, parking and catching the Underground, and coffee before the meeting.

To be pedantic again, the 2003 AGM was in Suffolk. We don't like being confused with those people north of the River Waveney. And the Wade is in Essex.
