Nancy certainly appears willing to learn more.
In GN, when she and John are being decoys and have been watching the sailor empty his boots, John says, "Good thing we're not near enough to hear what he's saying."
"Oh, I don't know," said Nancy. "We might learn some good new words."
Today's teenagers could probably teach the sailor, and not vice versa.
