I see language as a growing thing -
In my region of the world (Southern California), the phenomenon of 'Spanglish' is growing. (Example- car in Spanish is coche. In Spanglish, it's 'carro.') While teachers and language purists fight against it as a bastardization of language, I think it's really a new language in formation.
