Two things appear to me out of that OED entry; They use "rime" instead of the more customary "rhyme" for sounds that are similar, whereas I had always associated that spelling to indicate an encrustation, such as frost on a window. The second is that the meaning of aye, whatever its spelling, is "ever". Interestinger and interestinger!
