In looking through WD (again...) at the "Chart of Approaches to Harwich" that shows the path John took from the Cork out to the Sunk lightships, I happened to look at the bottom left corner, right next to the Title and Distance Legend, and there seems to be a somewhat crude sketch of a few islands south of the Stour, and it struck me as looking a bit familiar, but not quite, but enough to suggest that is the location of "SECRET WATER". Not being familiar with the geography of that area, I was not sure, so thought someone with a bit more local familiarity with the area could perhaps confirm my suspicion, or indicate othewise. There are some differences with the layout as shown in the front map of SW, so I could be wrong. If that is indeed SW, then it amazes me that for the many times I have looked at that chart in WD, I never saw that SW reference in WD.
