Over the past few weeks, whenever I have checked my e-mail, I receive approximately 20 messages compiling some inane discussion between rival TARS over the Internet. I was not warned that I was on a mailing list, nor was I notified about this so-called 'discussion', nor was I told that I would receive documentation which could easily have simply been posted up on Tarboard instead of flying round several hundred e-mail addresses, including my own, every time someone wanted to say something. Could whoever is in charge of e-mail mailing lists please make sure of a few things.
a) that each and every person is notified that they are on such a mailing list and asked whether they wish to remain upon it,
b) that the source of the discussion is e-mailed to the list first, rather than some poor confused person like myself being forced to try to follow the thread of a discussion which takes random turns
and c) that if people do no longer wish to be upon these mailing lists (like myself) that they are removed from the list A.S.A.P.
Otherwise I shall be contacting my Internet service provider.
I am sorry to speak so strongly, but I really feel that this sort of behaviour is completely unjustified. People at least have the right to know that they will be receiving such messages.
Thankyou.
Sincerely,
James Aldred.
