Thank you to everyone who responded to my inquiry regarding the purchase of hard (i.e., cloth) covered versions of the Swallows and Amazons series. I and my children now hold in our hands a new, hardback copy of Peter Duck. The kids got a kick out of receiving a package from across the Pond. The cost was $31 US which is about twice what we paid for the new, softcover copies of S&A and Swallowdale. We will jump into Peter Duck as soon as we finish reading "The Phantom Tollbooth" which I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone with children in the range of 8 to 10 years of age (even though it was written by Norton Juster versus Arthur Ransome).
