I haven't dropped this into a conversation for years (well it doesn't have as much caché now that the Skye bridge is open - and it never had much) but I've driven across the Atlantic Ocean! I crossed the bridge (which is a very impressive structure) at Clachan on the way to Easedale, which is well worth the visit if you ever get the chance.

Atlantic Bridge

And from the Book of Tenuous Links, No. 142. What is the connection between the bridge at Clachan and Carnegie Hall? Billy Connolly did an album featuring performances at two Carnigie Halls, the New York one and one in Dunfermline and he called it "Atlantic Bridge"
