Are there still things like the Jemmerling Collection in dusty corners of the museum world? I've always imagined the Walkers - father and two sons meeting up somewhere on a battleship in WWII and all surviving to pass on their tales of adventure, courage from their active retirement in the Lake District. Perhaps once the war was over they all took a trip to the Far East in search of the real Missie Lee!
