I have been given a Granta Diary for 2005. It has a week on each right-hand page, with a significant literary event noted on one day of each week. On the facing left-hand pages are "53 memorable book jacket designs, chosen from a century of publishing history."
The week of January 17-23 has the dustcover of the 1930 Swallows and Amazons, and Tuesday 18 is annotated "Arthur Ransome born 18 January 1884."
