Thank you for that link Jock, very informative but I think the analogy between mathematical and sociological complexity holds. Sociological complexity would involve the "imaginary" construct of "real", "objective", observable behaviour added to the internal constructions of the actor and observers.
As for whether I'm "really" a sociologist, that would depend on what you mean by "sociologist" what you mean by "really" and what you mean by "mean"....
