Well, I say "imaginary" because of its name, Laurence, that's all -- we know that all of it except Sinbad's Creek exists* in reality, just that it's not officially under that name. It's nice to hear about the apparently-unanimous adoption of the really imaginary name as the really real name, though -- it goes to show how good a job AR made in bringing things alive for his readers.

If you care to email me a photo (or several,) I'll post them for you.

* I wrote about this once before, when I was producing the map for TARS. Unfortunately, even apart from Sinbad's Creek, I have it on good authority that not everything exists now - or has for half a century -- as it did when the Swallows did their survey. The coastline has been severely treated during wild storms in the intervening years (particularly in the early 1950s,) and also, as we know, the land along the east coast is slowly subsiding. The result has been that many dykes have been permanently breached and much flooding has taken place. A check on current maps shows much more deckled-edged coastlines than maps from the time of the Swallows' survey would have shown.

The map shown is Secret Water as MultiMap now pictures it.
