Yes it was a 'scope - the first HP thingy. been a while since I used one of those.
It is not unusual for start up firms to not use number 1. When our company started a new office in Newcastle they started with the job number 100. No one wants to be Job Number 1 in a startup.
In the USA where we are the cheque number start at 500 as the local businesses will not accept a lower cheque number as it means you are a newie to town and a credit risk.
