If AR wanted to hide I doubt if he would become a prominent journalist and author and as such easy to trace.
Incidentally the was an article in yesterday's Daily Mail headed "Swallows and Bolsheviks" but as they spelt ARs wife's name as Eugenia, I wonder how much research went into the article
