I think it was Andy B who mentioned syllogism recently. He has made a syllogistic error. The premises:
'AR and Evgenia moved a lot because they were (allegedly) hunted by the KGB'
'Mrs Bolger moved a lot.'
Therefore: Mrs Bolger was (allegedly) hunted by the KGB.
This conclusion does not necessarily follow from the first two premises. Plenty of people move house frequently. I am obviously not saying they were all fleeing the Russian Secret Service. But I am suggesting that AR and E were.
Somewhere in past years I read about an allegation that AR kept a loaded handgun always in his bedroom, throughout his life. Has anyone else ever read that, and if so where?
