I suggest that the reason for the Amazons not camping on Wild Cat sooner, in SA, may be that the Amazons had been camping on Wild Cat with Uncle Jim in close attendance in earlier years (they would have been younger) but in the year of the story he was unwilling to be distracted by his neices.
