As recently as the 1970s the project to electrify the suburban train services out of King's Cross was known as the Great Northern Suburban Electrification, and still today there's a group of services called WAGN (West Anglia Great Northern).

"West Anglia" is a term used, as far as I know, only in railway circles. A decade or two ago what is usually called East Anglia started to be known as Anglia for railway purposes (BR in its final years had an Anglia Region), and the western part of it has been called Anglia West, or West Anglia.
