Judging by the local BBC television service and weather forecasts East Anglia has become the ‘Eastern Region’, and from their reporting and maps this seems to stretch almost as far as Bristol in the west. So we can assume that East Anglia suddenly became so big it had to have a West bit and an East bit!
Being born and brought up in what I thought was East Anglia I assumed it was Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire - but it now seems to include Hertfordshire and beyond. To save me looking, is there an official definition?
