For the serious frying pan enthusiast, you can fry most things - in beef dripping of course (oil does not fry at the right temperature).
Frying is a good way of improving items that might have been spoiled - hot fat will kill most known bugs. It may been a natural reaction to save the seed cake to fry it - though I would have thought that either Susan or Peggy would have suggested it as they would have been taught domestic science at schools - Nancy would probably have ignored domestic science. Or were they too young to have been taught this subject in school?
Most things will fry - but I have failed with lettuce and strawberries - what am I doing wrong??
