We could do with a reverse Ransome definition site for us Brits who are bemused by Americans' attempts to define British food-stuffs. For example, I know from experience "biscuits" are, at least sometimes, scones. But what's a cracker? A dry biscuit (cookie) eat with cheese in my experience, but something altogether different in Ed's, I suspect. And what is a "pound cake"? Sponge cake I suppose, if seed cake is both a form of sponge cake and pound cake. Bemused of Buxton
