Crackers, as in soda crackers or saltines, as crumbled in, or eaten alongside, soup, or the more extensive range eaten with cheese or other hors d'oeuvre (fish, potted meat).
Pound cake - not at all like the "sponge cake" I'm familiar with, which tends to be lighter and much less dense in texture. Reputedly named from the early recipe calling for "a pound of flour, a pound of sugar, a pound of eggs, . . . ", it's extremely fine-textured and surprisingly heavy for its size.
