Amazing the things that come up while idly watching TV. Cash in the Attic, a UK programme that sees Brits raiding their attics, sheds etc to find antiques and other valuables to sell for some sort of goal recently had a lovely couple planning to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The lady brought out a box of old newspapers comemorating such things as the sinking of the Titanic and the crowning of George V and said it was left by an elderly gentleman who had lived in their converted shed at the bottom of the garden. I wasn't taking much notice but was totally floored when she next said and I quote, 'He was the man who invented the Ventolin inhaler for asthma.' Was that not Roger Altounyan?
I'd also been watching a programme the night before on the making of Star Wars which included the large British man who played the Wookie, Chewbacca. Turns out he was her husband's brother. Tiny world!
