The previous link refers to the original Para Handy. There was another series (in the early 90s I think?). This starred Gregor Fisher (aka Rab Nesbit). The boat they used in the newer series - the Vital Spark - was in fact called Auld Reekie and I saw her at one point moored at Crinan.
An excellent series - a pity they never repeated it - though I guess it might now be running on satellite or be available on DVD.
