Unfortunately the Piccadilly Line at Terminal 4 is closed and you may have to get a bus transfer. I think the Piccadilly line at Terminals 1,2&3 is OK. But I have not been to Heathrow since the Terminal 4 Station was closed to allow the building works for the new Terminal 5 started.
The link below may help.
The Piccadilly Line will take you through to Holborn Station without any changes. The British Museum is about 10 minutes walk in a NW direction from the station. There should be a map in the circulating area at the top of the second set of escalators - or you can ask directions.
PS I am sure that if you look closely, you will find that the Ibises in the Egyptology Section are actually Swallows!
