If you look in the

www.lakelandcam.co.uk

at last Wednesday's offering, it shows the Isle of Mann far off in the distance. Reminds me of the trip to the top of Kanchenjunga in Swallowdale, when John pointed out that he could see that far off in the distance, just before the fog blotted it all out, and eventually came in close to engulf them in "blindness." The view can be found if you go to the bottom of that lakelandcam offering, to his "recent pictures" archive, and see the set for yesterday, Wed, and it is in that collection.

I have added that picture to my Swallowdale related collection.

Tony Richards has done a remarkable job for YEARS in making some fantastic photos available to the world. I do not miss a day in checking out his offerings, and downloading a copy. I am gathering quite a bunch, with thousands of his pictures. My screen saver randomly displays those views for me. It is very tempting to let my machine lie still just so the screen saver will kick in and take me on a randome tour of the lake district with Tony's camera and little black dog leading the way.
