There were even more natives in the harbour on Sunday, when the weather was gloriously hot. My 10 foot clinker-built dinghy Hirondelle made her first ever voyage from Holly Howe (Bank Ground Farm) to Wild Cat Island (Peel Island). Despite having a single lug-sail she points quite well towards the wind, and she actually overtook a cabin cruiser plus mainsail and jib on the voyage.
Because of the number of natives we didn't make landfall on Wild Cat Island, but will look forward to that next time. Hirondelle made very good time running back home and seemed ready for more whereas I was exhausted! It doesn't help having slatted side thwarts - very hard on one's nether regions!
