I was up at Coniston some weeks ago and I believe that the farmhouse is for sale. Also there appears to be some sculpture standing in the field between the lake and the road on the other side of the road from the farm. The sculpture appears to be a figure of a man and has gone a little rusty. It would appear to be a little special to have been put there just to be a scarecrow. Perhaps somebody knows what this is and who put it there.
