Hmm - does Jock have stats for that? Eg - how many extra visitors does 'Cochy' bring in? 'Mavis' is not a correct comparison, because she is in the Museum permanently, including the vital summer months, the tourist season, when the WSM gets most of its revenue. 'New Swallow', like 'Cochy', would be absent for most of the summer. This is all a matter for commercial negotiation, and if I were the Director of the WSM I would want reassurance that a replica 'Swallow' would bring in extra visitors, over and above those who come anyway because of 'Mavis/Amazon'. I would also stipulate a minimum time per year when 'New Swallow' had to be in the Museum. However, as the boat isn't even built yet, there would be time to sort all that out.
