I notice that a lot of folks seem to not like Missee Lee and Peter Duck as much as the other books because they are "made up". When I read them at age 12, I liked them just as much as the others. My thoughts are that if all the books were the same, they would then be not as exciting.

When I read Missee Lee, I organized a Dragon for the local Boy Scout Circus. I was the Dragon Tamer as Roger was and the the Dragon was supported by an entire Cub Scout Troop. I still am enchanted with Dragons, haveing made two giant ceramic Dragons (one 5 feet tall x 8 feet long - the other 6 feet tall x 12 feet long) located in Chicago. And it all started with Missee Lee!

Weren't ALL the books essentially "made up"?
