The Ceramic Dragons were hollow and filled with concrete, as the neighborhood in Chicago, at that time (1987 and 1989) was rather unruly - we didn't want someone to be able to totally trash the Dragons as they were visible from the street. The heaviest piece was the head of the Mama Dragon which weighed about 110 pounds (with out the concrete filling). Both Dragons were made in sections and fired and transported in sections. Yes, I am relatively well known - you all know about the World Famous Artist now! There is a picture of one of the Dragons on my website: www.ericabraham.net

And one of the more important influences on what I am doing was from reading the Arthur Ransome books!
