I don't think that TARS needed to make a massive investment to beam Ed across the Atlantic. These days all you need is a small video camera, the right software and an Internet connection at both ends.
However, the point regarding the Literary Executors is interesting and needs clarification. Of course they could have allowed public distribution of some of the material subject to the payment of royalties. Does anybody know why they made the more restrictive choice?
