When I was Treasurer of TARS, I used to worry a lot about the unfair exchange rate which made the Australian and NZ dollars very weak against sterling. As Peter H has said, we did our best, and the overseas subscription has been kept down as low as possible. In return, you get a lot of value, and I don't suppose books and magazines are any cheaper Down Under - certainly not the ones I buy.
The trouble is that organisations like the Post Office and printers tend to put their prices up every year. One of these days TARS will have to do the same. But it would be nice to think that some people in the world of poor exchange rates were sufficiently enthusiastic about AR to plough a substantial sum into joining us.
As for the amount you can buy in Poland for a TARS sub, at least that was a problem I didn't have to address in my time. It's wonderful to find that word is spreading there too.
