Interesting that there are (as far as I recall) no 'ordinary' pets mentioned in the twelve books (apart from Sinbad of course). Where the Famous Five had Timothy (the dog), the SADs only had Timothy the (virtual) aardvark. I wonder if this is because pets were not common among the social milieu frequented by the Walkers and Blacketts? (Never really did like the idea of Gibber and Polly mind!)
