I had a Monty Python Moment yesterday. I imagined a future version of Tarboard with (BBC Radio panel game) I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue ... style prizes, little voting buttons which we could press to decide upon intractable questions like, should a new Swallow be built, (Internet telephony) Skype buttons so that we could talk to each other, (Internet payment) PayPal buttons so that we could then pay for her... .

The one Tarboard feature that really challenges me is the way the Tarboard parser gobbles up spaces that it deems to be surplus. Sometimes I would like to inset a piece of text. I tried tabbing, shift spacing and reading the Message Format Guide. I know it must be possible, because the automatic link generator does it, but I can't for the life of me see how it can be done. Can anyone help?
