Hmm, Holly Howe to Galava is East, but you may of, of course, be referring to the alternative Windmere Holly Howe location which would give you a West move. On the other hand "something like Galava" gives quite a lot of scope and if you catch one of the steam specials which occassionally still run on the UK's battered railway network, you might just be able to get enough yourself sufficiently far East to then travel West to Silchester, a veritable Clapham Junction of the British transportation network in the days when the mail arrived on time.
