Modern billiards dates from the 19th century, but the roots of the game go back hundreds of years. The house could well have had a billiard table.

In PM Nancy mows the lawn, which once had tennis courts and croquet lawns on the part near the house. This indicates that Beckfoot used to have extensive leisure facilities.
