Or is the Field Guide different from the History??

There are two Eric G Holland books. Coniston Copper, A field guide is a pocket sized paperback intended to be taken with you into the field. It is full of useful advice for the would be explorer. I am quoting from memory, as I don't have the guide to hand. The right hand passage runs on for about 50 yards, the left hand passage is flooded and crosses an area where the false floors have started to give way... . Essential reading for Dan! The other book, Coniston Copper, A history is a hardback. It includes references to Oscar Gnossepelius's search for copper ore and the links between him and the real life "Slater Bob."

The hardback also has a sobering list of accidents that have taken place as a result of duffers wandering into the mines.
