I've been away from my computer for some time, and am only now catching up on TarBoard. When I first read the series to my daughters they were very keen to adopt AR personalities for their make-believe games (assisted by the rocking "boat" I made them). Since they tended to run around loudly proclaiming their assumed identity, the decision was quickly made to read Titty as Kitty (they were told what the name in the books really was) as I could imagine the reaction to a 6-year-old running around declaring to the world "I'm Titty, I'm Titty!" We even had one who voluntarily chose to identify with Susan; though now she is 16 the earlier enthusiasm for domesticity seem to have worn off!
