TARS membership figures won't really help, because you don't have to be a TARS member to post on Tarboard. I don't know how much overlap there is between TARS and Tarboard password holders, and I suspect there is less than there used to be. Judging by the members who turn up for TARS meetings, there doesn't seem to be any gender imbalance there. In any case I don't think this is taking us anywhere with regard to the rarity of female postings on Tarboard. And if Pam says she isn't made to feel unwelcome, then that's another possible solution gone. Is posting on Tarboard what they call in America a 'guy thing'? I can't see why. Maybe Pam's got it with her 'computer access' theory.
